Are tickets for the Rafael Nadal Museum included in any of the city’s tourist passes?

Tickets for the Rafa Nadal Museum are not usually included in the main tourist passes for Mallorca or Palma, so it is best to book them separately. Although there are tourist cards for visiting the island’s monuments, museums and attractions, entry to the museum in Manacor is not usually included.

Among the best-known options are the Turbopass Mallorca, also marketed as the Mallorca Pass, and the Palma Pass. The former is designed to combine various attractions on the island, such as monuments, museums, family experiences and the sightseeing bus, whilst the latter focuses primarily on discounts and visits within Palma de Mallorca. There are also more specialised passes, such as the Spiritual Mallorca Card, which focuses on religious and heritage sites.

Therefore, if you want to visit the Rafa Nadal Museum, the most practical option is to buy a separate ticket and organise the rest of your itinerary around your stay on the island. If you also want to get around Palma comfortably, you can combine your visit to the museum with other activities, such as the island’s hop-on-hop-off sightseeing buses

Children aged between 6 and 12 pay a reduced rate of approximately 13 euros for general admission to the Rafa Nadal Museum, whilst children under 6 enter free of charge provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

These discounts are significant because the Rafa Nadal Museum is one of the best excursions in Mallorca to enjoy with children and also an ideal outing for the whole family, so the children’s rates can help you save money on your visit.

Please also note that there is a reduced rate of approximately 18 euros for adults over 65, people with disabilities, holders of the Carné Joven youth card or large families, compared to the standard adult admission price of 25 euros for those aged 13 to 64.

Are there guided tours at the Rafael Nadal Museum in Mallorca? Are they worth it?

Yes, guided tours are currently available at the Rafa Nadal Museum, although they aren’t essential to enjoy the visit. You can buy a standard museum ticket or opt for the full experience, which combines access to the museum with a guided tour of the Rafa Nadal Academy, where you can explore the high-performance facilities and the environment in which promising young talents and professional athletes train.

You can also explore the museum at your own pace, as it is an interactive and highly visual space. During the tour, you’ll see trophies, personal items and iconic memorabilia belonging to Rafa Nadal, as well as exhibits linked to other great sportsmen and women. You’ll also find interactive experiences designed to give you a more immersive and entertaining insight into the world of professional sport.

The guided tour is well worth it if you want to make the most of the experience and gain a better understanding of how the Rafa Nadal Academy works. However, if you’re only interested in the museum, its exhibitions and the interactive activities, a standard ticket is sufficient to enjoy the visit at your own pace.

How do you get to the Rafael Nadal Museum in Mallorca?

Mallorca Tourist Bus| ©Joe K

The Rafa Nadal Museum is located in Manacor, on Ctra. Cales de Mallorca s/n, km 1.2, about 50 kilometres from Palma. To get there by public transport, one of the most convenient options is to take the T3 train from Palma Intermodal Station to Manacor and, from there, complete the journey to the museum by taxi, on foot or by local transport, depending on availability.

You can also get there by intercity bus on TIB route 401, which connects Palma with Manacor and other towns in eastern Mallorca. In this case, I recommend checking the up-to-date timetables before travelling, especially if you’re visiting the museum at the weekend, on a public holiday or during the high season.

If you decide to go by hire car, you can get from Palma to Manacor via the Ma-15, which is the most direct route. Another option is to take one of the transfers from Mallorca Airport if you’re planning to visit the Rafa Nadal Museum as soon as you arrive on the island.

The Rafa Nadal Museum in Mallorca is one of the most comprehensive sports museums in Spain and offers an immersive journey through the life and career of the Manacor-born tennis player. During your visit, you’ll learn about his origins, his major sporting achievements and the values that have shaped his career, as well as seeing trophies, personal items and unique memorabilia linked to his most important moments both on and off the court.

One of the highlights is the section dedicated to his 22 Grand Slam titles, his successes with Spain at the Olympic Games and in the Davis Cup, and his historic dominance on clay. It is also worth spending some time in the areas dedicated to Roland Garros – the tournament that turned Rafa Nadal into a tennis legend – and in the audiovisual section on the Big Three, which explores his rivalry with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

The museum also features a room dedicated to sporting legends, with artefacts relating to major international figures such as Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Usain Bolt, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pau Gasol. Furthermore, the experience is rounded off with interactive zones and simulators where you can put your reflexes, coordination and accuracy to the test, combining innovation, technology and sport in a tour suitable for all ages.

A visit to the Rafa Nadal Museum in Mallorca will take approximately between one and a half and two hours, although if you want to take your time with the exhibitions, try out the interactive experiences and explore all the areas at your own pace, you may want to allow a little more time.

The museum does not usually set a time limit on how long you can stay during opening hours, so you can tailor your visit to suit your own pace. However, tickets are valid for a single visit only, so if you leave the premises, you won’t be able to re-enter at a later time using the same ticket.

If you’re planning to visit Mallorca in August or during the high season, I recommend booking in advance and arriving with plenty of time to spare, especially if you want to combine your visit to the museum with a guided tour of the Rafa Nadal Academy.

The Rafa Nadal Museum in Mallorca is open Monday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.30, giving you plenty of time to visit and combine your tour – which usually takes between an hour and a half and two hours – with a boat trip along the island’s coast or one of the cycling tours in Mallorca.

These opening hours may be subject to occasional changes, so I recommend checking the latest information before your visit, especially if you’re travelling in the low season, on public holidays or on specific dates. You should also bear in mind that some public transport services may be reduced outside the peak months, which is important to note if you’re staying outside Manacor.

You can enter the museum up to one hour before closing time, and if you buy your ticket online, you’ll need to select the date of your visit. Also, if you choose the full experience with a guided tour of the Rafa Nadal Academy, bear in mind that these tours usually take place from Monday to Sunday between 10.00 and 15.00, with departures every hour.

The Rafa Nadal Museum is one of Mallorca’s top attractions and also one of the few places offering an alternative perspective on the island, beyond the white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters and party boats. It’s a family-friendly outing with some fascinating exhibitions, so I’d advise you to take your time and explore it at your own pace.

Bear in mind, too, that if you’re travelling to Mallorca at Christmas or during the high season, tourist numbers tend to rise, so I recommend booking in advance to avoid delays, or opting for skip-the-queue tickets to save time.

If you’re planning to visit Mallorca with children, this is a visit that might interest them and which they’ll also enjoy thanks to the museum’s interactive experiences and immersive spaces.

What’s the shop like at the Rafael Nadal Museum in Mallorca?

The official Rafa Nadal Museum shop focuses mainly on selling sportswear, tennis accessories and official Rafa Nadal Academy merchandise. Rather than a traditional souvenir shop, it’s a space designed for those who want to take home items linked to tennis, sport and the academy’s brand.

You can shop in person during your visit or online via the Rafa Nadal Shop, where you’ll find clothing for adults and children, sports accessories and official merchandise. If you’re interested in a specific product, it’s best to check availability online before your visit, as the range may vary depending on the season.

In addition, the complex offers dining options such as the Roland Garros Restaurant and a café overlooking the Rafa Nadal Academy facilities. It’s a great place to have breakfast, lunch or take a break after touring the museum, especially if you’re combining your visit with a guided tour of the academy.

Mallorca’s best food tours are also among the best in Spain, so finding a place to eat well on the island is no difficult task. Even so, on the outskirts of Manacor and in the immediate vicinity of the museum, the choice isn’t as wide as in the town centre or the more touristy areas along the coast.

If a visit to the Rafa Nadal Museum works up your appetite, the most convenient option is to eat at the Roland Garros Restaurant, located within the Rafa Nadal Academy complex. It is the complex’s premier dining venue and offers a selection of Mediterranean cuisine, including rice dishes, meat, fish and dishes designed to round off your experience after visiting the museum.

If you’d prefer to leave the complex, you can head to the centre of Manacor, where you’ll find more bars, restaurants and options serving local cuisine. There you can sample Mallorcan- and Mediterranean-inspired dishes – a great alternative if you want to combine your visit to the museum with a stroll through the town.
