Step by Step
Dive into the darker side of Seoul with this ghost tour that takes you to the most haunting corners of the city, where legends of apparitions, superstitions and demons have endured for over 600 years. Steeped in history and folklore, this experience will allow you to explore South Korea's ghostly lore through folktales, urban myths and warnings that still circulate among locals today.
The tour is guided by an expert in Korean supernatural beliefs and is conducted on foot, in small groups, to ensure a more intimate and immersive experience. The starting point is at Exit 4 at Seodaemun Station (for the standard tour, Exit 2 at Gwanghwamun Station), from where you will embark on a journey through stories of wandering spirits, mythical creatures, gods hidden in wells, and demons hidden in everyday places. Along the way, you will also learn about the traditions linked to the dead, the dangers of bad luck, and the places where, according to legend, souls still roam.
This tour is offered in two different versions, so you can choose according to your level of bravery (or curiosity!):
-
Standard tour (1.5 hours): an intense and condensed introduction to the most prominent legends and superstitions, ideal for those who have less time or prefer a shorter experience.
-
Extended version (2.5 hours): expands the tour with more stories and unique locations, including spooky tales of haunted hotels, creature sightings, and stories of possession, alcohol and murder.
