Step by Step
The N Seoul Tower stands on Namsan Mountain and has become one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Its elevated position offers a privileged view of Seoul, both by day and as night falls and the lights begin to spread across the city.
The observatory offers a 360° panoramic view and features digital telescopes to zoom in on different parts of the landscape. On clear days, the views can extend up to around 50 kilometres, taking in landmarks such as Bukhansan, the River Han and various parts of the metropolitan area.
At the base of the tower, you’ll find restaurants, shops and outdoor spaces, as well as the famous ‘love padlock’ spot, where many couples leave a memento of their visit.
If you’d like to make the most of the experience, you can book a return ticket on the Namsan Cable Car. The journey takes you up and down the mountain whilst enjoying views over the park and the city, saving you much of the walk up to the tower.
The cable car and access to the observatory are separate services, so it’s a good idea to plan your time taking into account the timetables for both. The visit is particularly enjoyable at sunset, when you can watch the landscape transform from daylight to the night-time skyline.
