December in Porto is not too cold, as the city is very close to sea level. It is therefore unlikely to experience a drop in temperature to 0ºC. Nor will you see the thermometer reading 1ºC or more than 13ºC. In fact, the average temperature is around 10ºC.

The weather in Porto during the winter is characterised by mild, wet and cold, due to the city's combination of an oceanic and Mediterranean climate.
