Step by Step
This excursion to Doñana National Park from Seville is a complete immersion in one of the most important natural areas in Europe. The tour is done in a 4x4 vehicle and allows access to different areas of the park while a professional guide interprets the landscape, fauna and flora throughout the day.
The route begins in La Puebla del Río, at the gates of the Doñana marshes, a privileged area for birdwatching. Here we find the Dehesa de Abajo, one of the best-preserved wild olive forests in the area and home to the largest colony of white storks in Europe. The marshes are home to hundreds of species every year, making this enclave a real paradise for birdwatchers.
You will then visit the village of El Rocío, famous for its pilgrimage and its unique Andalusian atmosphere of sandy streets, horses and tradition. Later, you will enter other ecosystems of Doñana, such as the Acebrón Palace and the gallery forest, where you will go on a circular hiking route to interpret animal tracks and discover the characteristic plant species of the park .
The experience is completed with the discovery of the unspoilt beach of Doñana, the longest in Spain, its moving dunes and its characteristic fauna. At the end of the day, you will start your return to Seville through the wooded area of the park, a perfect moment to try to spot some of its large mammals, such as deer, foxes, wild boars or even the ever-elusive Iberian lynx.
