This tour available in 5 languages will take you to discover the most emblematic places of Palma de Mallorca, always accompanied by an expert guide.
Here is an approximate itinerary of the tour:
First stop: Bellver Castle
The tour begins with a stop at Bellver Castle, an architectural jewel that holds the title of being the oldest circular castle in Europe and the only one in the whole of Spain. Situated atop a hill surrounded by forests, this medieval building offers spectacular views of the city of Palma, its port, the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and the Pla de Mallorca.
After admiring Bellver Castle, the tour returns to the heart of Palma to visit the Parque del Mar. This emblematic park, located next to the cathedral and under the old city walls, is a vibrant space that combines history and nature. As you stroll through its gardens, you'll enjoy green areas, a children's corner, a large lake with seawater and stunning views of the wall that defended the city for centuries. It's a perfect place to relax as you watch the historic architecture blend into the landscape.
Third stop: Palma Cathedral (La Seu)
The tour continues to La Seu, the imposing Cathedral of Palma, a Gothic building withthe largest rose window in the world. From its privileged position on the ancient walls, the cathedral offers exceptional views of the Mediterranean Sea. This monument, built in 1229 by King James I in honour of Saint Mary, has witnessed centuries of history and architectural transformations. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Seu combines elements of Antonio Gaudí and Miquel Barceló, both of whom left their mark on the interior designs. Whenever possible, explore its interior to discover the treasures it houses.
Fourth stop: The streets of the Old Quarter
Next, you will enter the streets of Palma's old town, a network of narrow lanes full of history and charm. This route will take you through shopping streets such as Calle San Miguel and Plaza Mayor, spaces that combine tradition and modernity. The Plaza Mayor, once the seat of the Inquisition, is now a lively place full of life, surrounded by historic buildings.
Fifth stop: El Mercado del Olivar (Olive Grove Market)
The excursion culminates with a visit to the Mercado del Olivar, the largest public market in Mallorca and one of Palma's main tourist attractions. This market, inaugurated in 1951, is a true gastronomic paradise. With its Mediterranean architecture and lively atmosphere, it combines the best local traditions with national and international culinary specialities. Here you will have the opportunity to explore, taste and take away a little piece of the island's rich culinary culture.
Discover a city that combines history, art and life in every corner, with this tour that will connect you with the soul of Palma.
