Experience Highlights

Immerse yourself in one of Mexico’s most vibrant traditions with this wrestling tour in Mexico City. The experience combines a walking tour of the historic centre, a tasting of traditional drinks and admission to an authentic show at the Arena México or the Arena Coliseo, depending on the day.

You can choose between two options. The standard option includes the guided tour, the tasting and entry to the show. The VIP option adds tacos, a luchador mask and seats in an area closer to the ring so you can experience every stunt and every bout with greater intensity.

The activity lasts approximately 4 hours and begins at the Amigo Tours Downtown meeting point. From there, you’ll discover shops and spots linked to wrestling before heading to the arena to enjoy an evening full of masks, rivalries and excitement.

Step by Step

Lucha libre is much more than just a sport: it is an expression of Mexican popular culture that blends acrobatics, colourful characters and epic tales of heroes and villains. This tour allows you to discover it from the inside and learn about the symbolism hidden behind its famous masks.

The experience begins with a tequila and mezcal tasting, whilst the guide introduces you to the origins and fascinating facts about lucha libre. You’ll then set off on a walking tour of Mexico City’s historic centre, visiting specialist shops and venues linked to this spectacle so deeply rooted in the local identity.

During the walk, you’ll also have the chance to try pulque, a traditional Mexican drink. Those who choose the VIP option will also enjoy a stop to sample tacos and will receive a luchador mask as a souvenir of the experience.

The grand finale will be entry to Arena México or Arena Coliseo, depending on the day of the show. Once inside, you’ll watch matches featuring masked wrestlers, jumps from the ropes, acrobatic moves and rivalries that draw the audience in from the very start.

With the standard option, you’ll enjoy the tour, the tastings and the show from your allocated area. The VIP option offers a more comprehensive experience, with tacos, a mask and seats closer to the ring – ideal for feeling the energy of each match up close.

Excellent guided tour, the group was a lot of fun, we were 3 couples, we took a lot of pictures and even arranged to meet in the next few days.

While I had previously experienced the mariachis in Plaza Garibaldi, the wrestling in the Arena and the tequila tasting were the ultimate, a great complement to the evening.

More than fun, the guide was indispensable for us to have such a good night. I will always remember this.
