Immerse yourself in one of the world’s most famous museum complexes with this guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. During this tour, you’ll gain skip-the-queue access to the museum’s main galleries, accompanied by an expert guide who’ll share with you the stories behind the most iconic works of Western art.

The tour begins with an introduction in the Courtyard of the Pineapple, from where you can admire the imposing dome of St Peter’s Basilica. You will then enter the Pio-Clementino and Chiaramonti Museums, home to sculptures such as the Belvedere Apollo and the Laocoön. You’ll also visit the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps, with its fascinating 16th-century topographical frescoes.

If capacity allows, you’ll also gain access to the Raphael Rooms and the Borgia Apartments, where you can see the famous painting *The School of Athens*. The highlight of the tour is the Sistine Chapel, with its stunning ceiling painted by Michelangelo and *The Last Judgement*.

Other Things You Should Know

Due to maintenance work in the Sistine Chapel, the view of The Last Judgement may be temporarily affected.
When you purchase this product, you won’t have to join the general queue, but you may have to wait at security or in the priority queue for all those who have purchased the ‘skip-the-queue’ option.
Shoulders and knees must be covered.
The Vatican Museums offer free admission to all visitors with a certified disability of over 74 per cent. If the visitor is not self-sufficient, the free ticket also extends to one accompanying person.
You must arrive at the time indicated at the entrance.
There will be around 20 participants on the tour.
The tour is not accessible to people with reduced mobility or pushchairs
Proof of identity is required for those under 18 years of age
