Immerse yourself in one of the world’s most famous museum complexes with this guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. During this tour, you’ll gain skip-the-queue access to the museum’s main galleries, accompanied by an expert guide who will share with you the stories behind the most iconic works of Western art.

The tour begins with an introduction in the Courtyard of the Pineapple, from where you can admire the imposing dome of St Peter’s Basilica. You will then enter the Pio-Clementino and Chiaramonti Museums, home to sculptures such as the Belvedere Apollo and the Laocoön. You’ll also visit the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps, with its fascinating 16th-century topographical frescoes.

If capacity allows, you’ll also gain access to the Raphael Rooms and the Borgia Chambers, where you can see the famous painting *The School of Athens*. The highlight of the tour is the Sistine Chapel, with its stunning ceiling painted by Michelangelo and *The Last Judgement*.
