Step by Step

Explore the Sun King’s world at your own pace with these Palace of Versailles tickets. Built in the 17th century for Louis XIV, this spectacular residence lies in Versailles, about 19 km west of Paris.

Your ticket includes access to the Domaine de Trianon, right next to the main gardens. Wander through the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon, the Queen’s Hamlet and a series of exquisite ornamental gardens. It’s one showstopper after another.

This corner of Versailles is closely tied to Marie Antoinette. She adored country life and turned it into her private retreat from the formality of court. Here she created a whole hamlet to receive guests and educate her children, inspired by traditional rustic architecture from Normandy. It really does feel like travelling back in time.

You’ll also get access to the palace gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Every hidden detail comes to life with a downloadable audio guide you can listen to on your phone.

Depending on the date, you’ll have the option at checkout to add the Versailles Musical Fountains Show and bike rental in the gardens to your ticket.

If you visit on weekends or at Christmas, your ticket also includes the Galerie des Carrosses in the Great Stables. Admire the ceremonial coaches commissioned for Napoleon I’s wedding, the funeral carriage of Louis XVIII and the coronation coach of Charles X, among other masterpieces. You’ll want to see these up close.

Being such a large place it was a bit tiring to get to know the whole place. The visit was very good and the gardens looked amazing. Highly recommended.
