Commissioned by King Louis IX, Sainte-Chapelle greets you with breathtaking 15-meter-tall stained glass windows—one of the world's most impressive collections. Marvel at 15 windows depicting 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments.

This Gothic chapel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and on sunny days, the light streaming through the glass is absolutely mesmerizing.

After the French kings abandoned the Conciergerie in the 14th century, it became a prison and revolutionary tribunal. Walk through the Salle des Gardes and the Salle des Gens d'armes, and feel the weight of history where prisoners once awaited their fate.

To enhance your experience, you'll receive a Histopad upon arrival at the Conciergerie—an augmented reality tool that brings the history of this key Revolutionary-era detention site vividly to life.

A lovely, informative tour. Perhaps there could be more signposts between one monument and the next, but asking for directions sorts it out without any trouble.

The afternoon light on the stained-glass windows was beautiful. At the Conciergerie, the Histopad made the visit more entertaining, particularly in helping to understand the different spaces.
