Step by Step
Explore the most mysterious side of Paris on this 90-minute night-time tour, in small groups of up to 20 people.
A professional guide will recount legends, intrigues and little-known historical episodes from the French capital, a city whose past is marked by power struggles, executions, religious conflicts and events that gave rise to some of its most unsettling stories.
During the tour, you’ll visit several sites steeped in history:
- La Conciergerie: a former palace and prison during the French Revolution, where Marie Antoinette spent her final days before being executed.
- The Church of Saint-Germain-l’Auxerrois: a Gothic church closely linked to the events that triggered the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre.
- Île de la Cité: one of the historic centres of Paris, where the Parisii settled and where some of the city’s oldest and most iconic buildings are located.
- Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville: a square which for centuries was the scene of public executions and some of the darkest episodes in Parisian history.
Through these stories, you’ll discover a different side to the City of Light, marked by mysteries, legends and surprising historical events that continue to form part of Paris’s identity.
