Step by Step

The tour begins with a stroll through the edible gardens and a guided fruit tasting, where you’ll discover unusual flavours and learn more about the produce grown in this subtropical environment. The varieties available vary according to the season, so each tour may be different.

You will then board the sightseeing tractor to tour the plantation and see first-hand how work is carried out on a working farm. During the journey, you’ll see numerous crops and, when the harvest allows, you’ll be able to taste freshly picked fruit, pluck a banana straight from the bunch or crack open fresh macadamia nuts.

The route continues to Fauna Park, where you can meet and feed some of the farm animals. Next, you’ll enjoy a boat trip through the canals and the wooded valley – a particularly peaceful part of the experience that allows you to discover the landscape from a different perspective.

The final part of the tour takes you to The Island, where you’ll have free time to relax or enjoy the activities on offer. Children can try their hand at mini-golf, the zip line and the play areas, whilst adults can stroll through the gardens, discover native Australian produce or simply relax by the water before returning by tractor.

A pleasant experience, although it was quite hot for part of the visit. It’s best to bring water and something to protect yourself from the sun.

It’s really interesting to learn about how the fruit is grown and then try some. You learn without feeling as though you’re in a classroom.

I found the visit to see the animals very entertaining. We enjoyed it even though we weren’t travelling with children.
