Step by Step

This special package offers you the chance to discover two of Rome’s most iconic sites in a single day. Begin your adventure at the Mamertine Prison, also known as the Tullianum, the city’s oldest prison. Located in the heart of Rome, this historic prison held illustrious prisoners, including St Peter and St Paul.

The included audio guide will lead you through the underground cells, offering an in-depth insight into the conditions of imprisonment and the historical events that took place at this site.

As well as the Mamertine Prison, you’ll have direct access to the Gladiators’ Arena, the central platform where the fights took place. This exclusive entry allows you to walk on the very same ground trodden by the gladiators, offering a unique perspective of the amphitheatre and its stands.

From the arena, you’ll be able to appreciate the sheer scale and impressive architecture of the Colosseum, whilst imagining the spectacles that once entertained thousands of spectators. You’ll also have access to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, rounding off a truly immersive experience of ancient Rome.
